Anderson-Reed Begins Constructing Megareactor in Alaskan Mountains

Thu, Jul 1, 1999

Anderson-Reed is proud to announce that we are beginning construction on our third project -- an 18,000 Megawatt fission megareactor in the mountains near Anchorage, AK. This is our most ambitious project yet, and is slated to be a more difficult project than Las Vegas Nuclear Station, a 33,000 Megawatt reactor built in the Mojave desert.

The news was announced by CNO Steven Reed, who said the project is "easily the most complicated logistical undertaking we've accepted, but we will not back down. We are nothing if not trailblazers."

The power plant will provide much-needed safe and clean electricity to an area where power is already very expensive, since operating power plants in Alaska is no easy task. However, we have stepped up to the plate, and we are determined to bring reliable and efficient power to the people of Alaska.
